1993matias, thanks again for promoting my PW!  ;)
Please spread the word so we can make this world even bigger!

Still a lot of open positions, an extremely active aircraft market to purchase and lease aircraft and interesting areas to start up a new airline!

- World number: PW2854
- World name: New World 2014
- Map type: Full world
- Starting aircraft: 3 x Boeing 737-200
- Starting cash: €500,000
- Starting year: 1984
- Years left: 26 years
- Current year: 1987
- Password: No

We are now at the end of year 1987 and counting 45 active players.
Currently there are 5 alliances active.
The most active aircraft is the Boeing 737-300 with 590 in use!
New aircraft that will be available within two days are the Airbus A320, Boeing 737-400, Fokker 100 and McDonnell Douglas MD-88!

Rules are very straight forward and only intended to make this world a pleasant world to be part of!

- Maximum number of frequencies allowed per airline per route: 3.
- Minimum fare value per route: €50 or $50.
- Minimum lease rate: 8% of the aircrafts' value at that time.
- No offensive airline names or codes.
- Inactive airlines will be deleted after 31 (real) days.

Hello and welcome to AirlineMogul!

Miscellaneous expenses are not only the on board services. There are other espenses mixed into that category.
For exemple Landing Fee's, Handling fee's and Aircraft parking fee's.
This implies that the miscellaneous expenses will always be higher than the revenues.
What you are experiencing is in a matter of fact nothing but normal  ;)

When setting prices the same across the board, something between $23 and $25 should be optimal.

Regards

I have no idea what formula is used but it seems like the price resulting in the highest profit is something around €24.

Bugs / [NAB] Harassing member hacked into my account
« on: August 19, 2012, 07:51:22 pm »
Dear fellow AM-members,

since the beginning of world PW#2061 we are having some troubles with one particular member.
Some of you have also faced him in previous worlds.
He detroys everyones routes using 747's at a €1-fare and a multiple frequency.

Because of that behaviour, some specific rules were implemented in this world:
Minimum fare = €50
Maximum frequency = 1

Now, he puts up some 747's or 767's at €50 at 1 frequency or 2 0.5-frequencies, just to destroy everyones routes.

But that's not all.
He also changes his name into other players their name. For exemple:

His first name: Red Planet

When I came in, my airline was called Delta Air Transport
My username at that time was "Welcomediscoversmile".

As my airline was getting stronger and bigger, and Red Planet encountered some competition, he decided he had to change the name of his airline to "Welcomediscoverfrown".

Later, he became Delta Air Transportt (using two t's)
Because of that, I changed my name to Sabena World Airlines.
After that, he changed his to Sabena World Wide.
I've reported this to the staff of course, but he kept on going.

I finally changed my name to American Airlines.

All was fine after that, except for his stupid behaviour concerning the €50-fares on short routes using a 747 or 767.
But that's fine, that's his choice and it is allowed.

But, several times, he accused me of having multiple accounts.
This is definately not the case, and I've asked the AM-staff to have a look into this to confirm this.
Non of his accusations were correct.

This afternoon, at around 2 p.m. Belgian Time, I logged in and updated some routes.
I logged out and everything was fine.
Now, at around 8 p.m. this evening, Belgian Time, I log in and I notice that the name of my airline was changed to "Cabbagelines".

Not that I care, but the fact someone hacked my account, logged into my account and is able to do that, is something serious.
Because of the fact, this member purchases dozens of 747's just to ruin other members their routes, and the fact he has changed his name several times just to annoy me, he made himself a little suspicious.

I've again reported this to the staff.
But as it might take a while before I get any answers, I wanted this to share this on the forum aswell.

Not only myself, but also other members are getting sick and tired of this member's behaviour.

I prefer at least 20-25 years to be able to set up a real stable airline.

Sorry guys I was on vacation. The world will have a little delay because of personal problems. I don't know when it will be there. I'll make a list of participating airlines.

Not a problem!
We can wait  ;)
