Northeast Airways Begins Service

-- Carrier to begin operations by offering the only service between Philadelphia and Seattle-Tacoma.

Philadelphia, PA, August 13, 2000

Northeast Airways today began operations with its first route between Philadelphia and Seattle-Tacoma.  The flight is operated with Northeast's Boeing 737-400 aircraft, which offers travelers the latest amenities, which will allow Northeast Airways to set the gold standard in customer service among US carriers.  These include unlimited premium snacks and beverages, industry-leading legroom throughout its cabin, and free in-flight entertainment powered by XM-Sirius Satellite Radio and Dish Network.

"I am very excited to launch Northeast Airways, Philadelphia's hometown airline, with our Philadelphia-Seattle route," said Anthony Miller, president and chief executive of Northeast Airways.

Miller intends to expand Northeast Airways' Philadelphia hub with service to key American cities, and plans to establish as small focus city and crew base at Seattle-Tacoma, from which it will offer service between Seattle and key West coast destinations.  A frequent flyer club will also be created, and plans are to either open an airport lounge or join with another carrier to offer travelers access to its airport lounge network.

About Northeast Airways:

Based in Philadelphia, Northeast Airways inaugurated service in August 2000 with nonstop service to Seattle-Tacoma.  The carrier, billing itself as the "hometown airline" of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley, will expand its Philadelphia base and establish a focus city at Seattle-Tacoma.
