 Wait.....

 How could a new Route Possibly be more beneficial then adding another flight to an existing route??........

 Let's see.....I can pay 250,000 for a new gate, or I Can pay 90,000 in Maintenance fees for an additional Flight........

 What am I missing here??

once you have made a flight from your base to that rented gate then you cant make any more flights {if you only have 1 base} well you could but it wouldnt be very profitable so you would make more money getting another gate and creating a new flight
for example:1, lgw-madrid x1 daily dop 80,000 24 game days profit= 1,920,000
            2, lgw-madrid x2 daily dop 95,000 24 game days profit= 2,280,000
but if you buy a new gate and create a new flight you will make double the dop by using the same amount if not less aicraft hours as you would have done

most long haul planes in real life wont even do a return trip that far. as pseudoswede has already pointed out do the math the plane cant do that kind of a trip in a 24 hr period.

any way what are you complaining about the game is free {unless you bought  points} so you havent lost out on anything have you

the range is not a mmust but i say 4000+ because i have pretty much used up the airports that are worth while between 0-3000 nm in europe and getting close to that in asia. and i want to reduce the amount of planes i am running by having faster ones.

ok i was wondering how high the maintenance cost gets so i thought i would post it. so the questionis:
what is your highest mx cost and what plane/s do you think is/are causing this?
my mx cost to date is 23,183,158 but i dont know whether it is high or not
my fleet is as follows:
5x proffessional aviation jet prop dc-3 ami
2x a300b2-200
6x atr 42
5x 737
1x 767
4x dash8-400
4x hanzhong y-8
3x kfc vc5800
2x tu-334-100
5x tu-334-100d

hey guys im running an airline in [pw294] in the early 2000's and im planning big expansion. my question is im thinking of upgrading my fleet to all medium range planes, (with a speed of 450+ and a range of 4000+ with pax capacity of 130+) is this good or bad and if i did so what would the dop of each plane need to be and what planes would be best im based in europe and asia also planning to expand out to north america.
so in short:what planes would be best to run
and what dop would the aircraft have to make to overcome mx costs
where would the best place be to set up in north america
i was thinking in the middle so i can get to most airports without having to fly long distance to get to most of them

i have to ask the question seen as i am a newbie to this game ive only been playing for about five rl days and today i have been glued to this game for about 13 hours now. i know pretty sad i just been reading the forums and waiting for my money to build up so i can buy some planes.
so wots the longest you've stayed up playing am.

i think its the most addictive game since monopoly lol

MrOrange i will hopefully be ordering with you soon im thinkig of getting a cheap long range aircraft maybe at the end of the game month if i can afford it lol
