Its actually the reason I started playing this game. I got nostalgic one day and did a google search to see if there were any games like it.

This game really reminds me alot of that game except with a ton more detail. Plus being online makes it alot more interesting than playing against an AI.

  Used to dig that game as a kid.

  "Riots in Iran have closed your flights !" ... this came out when the SimCity craze first hit.

Obviously, it's a non-issue for me at this point since I'm nowhere near even buying a second plane, but what's the point of having large planes like 747s if they'll never be profitable?

  Thought the same a few times myself.  On the bright side, you save some $$ by not buying the pricey planes.

  Thanks... I'll keep the above info in mind. 

  In my last world, I simply took over and became the #1 carrier in no time but sure enough my funds went into the toilet once I started to upgrade to the large birds.

  Aside from being correct with using real life models, what would be the purpose of even using these large pax carrying planes ? They are only going to bankrupt you.

   What's the best large sized airliner to use for heavy pax routes over long distances.  I'm forever draining my bank account with some of these large planes. Anyone have a rule of thumb towards large airline purchases.

   When I say Large I mean capacity/pax wise not $$ wise, although I suppose they ca hand in hand.

You can close your hubs in the game. Click on 'View gates' and then click on 'Close base'. Select the 2 hubs you want to close and then click on 'Close'. That's it! 

  I thought there was a simple method to it .... thank you !

  My apologies if this should be directed to a Mod in another fashion but I need to have two of my Hubs closed.... not sure on how to close them myself.

  I opened two hubs which was an accident.

 ... just to follow up my previous post. I did in fact come across the way to view aircraft by age.

 This aspect is what I am least knowledgable about in AM, I had a few that were 11 years old and some that are 9 years old. I've listed my 11 / 9 year old aircraft. Will this make a difference ?

 I'm in private world #162 .... Airline - Metro City Air


 No planes are being rented

 Very few X2 routes

 and to my understand I don't have to many old birds in the sky. Although I have to be honest I've tried looking for a list of my planes by age but I can't seem to find that option.

  Super fustrating as I should be making some nice $$$ but I'm just loosing more and more as each month go's by.
 
  I appreciate any and all info/help/suggestions

   Currently in a private world.... my airline is #4 out of 50 or so. I was making money hand over fist and now everytime I look at my bank account I'm getting deeper and deeper in debt.

   My load percentage is the best in my world yet the airline is bleeding money left and right ! What's the deal, I can't comprehend why I am loosing so much money when I should be making more then anyone else.

  Been trying to figure out how the hub system works. It seems you can own as many hubs as you like in your home continent however what's the deal with international hubs outside of your continent. I have a healthy four hubs in North America and it seems like I can only own one more outside of North America, is that correct ?    I've been trying to open another hub outside of the one I already run in Europe.

   Thanks guys.... must of been a bug in the game because now the visual set up is a touch different and this time around I was able to lease an aircraft  .

   Go figure... now that I am able to lease an aircraft the list of 60 or so aircraft is now only at 3 !!

   I haven't seen Igor Sikorsky Int. listed, Bridgeport Conn.

 It has commercial flights up untill '99 and is now slated to bring them back in 2009. It currently offers private flights and commuter helicopter service to NYC and Hartford.
