big planes aren't profitable, you should stick to medium sized planes if you want to outgrow your competitors

an easier way to say that is contribution = total revenue - total variable costs

and contribution - fixed costs = profit

join an alliance and ask the big guys for planes at 50% their value.

as long as you are determined to succeed, you can.  i did myself
i joined w10 about 2 months ago and now i'm a big guy (currently ranked 11th).  try routes that are less competitive, and planes that are cheap and affordable, yet profitable

try using atr 72-200s as they are cheap and profitable.  don't worry if the big guys are ordering airbus a319s as they aren't really profitable at all, and are wasting their opportunity cost buying them.

atr 72-200s   (0-1600nm)
they can make about 80% of the profits per route of an airbus a319 at about a quarter the cost

then other aircraft i recommend
bombardier global express for intercontinental flights (4000-6900nm)

boeing 717 business empire for flights (1500-3500nm)

i used to spend it all when i was expanding, but now i earn so much cash each day/(hour), i only order about 20 atr 72-200s when i need them 24 hours in advanced

depending on how busy your base airports are, try making routes to small airports as they are probably more profitable than competitive routes

in the last 2/3 days your (advanced)route search screwed up.  doing a 'check my own gates search brings up with gates which i don't own at all.

fix this please as it makes creating new routes harder

hi
i'm not sure whether the aircraft filter in the aircraft market works.  i've tried to select a few planes in the filter, and the aircraft list in the market is the same.

also i'd like to see another column in the view aircraft section for the age of the craft, which i have seen you put in the expand out information box.  I have over 150 planes and i don't want to click expand to see the age for each.

otherwise it's great

I don't know whether it's only me at this point in time, but after the update airline mogul seems to be running slower than the already slow usual.

Another point: in the aircraft market, when I try to filter the aircraft, it doesn't seem to do anything.  A bug perhaps?

In view aircraft, it would be really nice if you could display aircraft age as another column. Right now I have to click over 150 times to expand the box and see the age of each plane.

And on the quick stat panel, it would be very convenient to see the route loadfactor

Otherwise everything is great

I love the new interface.
