Bradley Airport Welcomes New International Service on ValueJet

ValueJet has announced that the airline will launch daily non-stop flights from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International [YUL/CYUL] and Toronto Pearson International [YYZ/CYYZ] to Bradley International [BDL/KBDL].

“ValueJet is pleased to offer customers the convenience of daily non-stop service between Canada and Bradley" said Eric Melanson, ValueJet’s COO.

“Canada is one of our most important international markets, so we’re thrilled that our Canadian guests can now enjoy a seamless travel
experience to the Hartford/Springfield region thanks to our valued ValueJet partnership,” said Bob Stinchcomb, Vice President, Convention & Visitors Bureau of Hartford.

“I’m thrilled that ValueJet is continuing to expand its nonstop service to and from Bradey. With 21 daily nonstop destinations, ValueJet offers people in and around Hartford/Springfield convenient and affordable travel opportunities that they’ve never had before. This is an exciting time for Bradley and for our region.” said Hartford County Executive Brian M. Hughes.

Passengers aboard the daily nonstop flights will enjoy award-winning service featuring convenient schedules, assigned seating, a first-checked bag free, complimentary and unlimited name brand snacks and drinks, comfy leather seats, and more legroom than any other carrier in coach.

ValueJet will now also fly non-stop to Atlantic City, Memphis, and Washington Dulles!

ValueJet today announced it will expand its at Bradley International Airport with the addition of three daily nonstop destinations.

ValueJet will now provide customers with daily convenient service to Atlantic City International [ACY/KACY], Memphis International [MEM/KMEM], and Washington Dulles International [IAD/KIAD].

“This is a great day for us at ValueJet as we bring significantly more options to the Hartford/Springfield area, providing a time and money saving option to customers throughout New England,” said Daniel Shurz, ValueJet’s senior vice president, commercial. “Customers who fly from Bradley International Airport can enjoy an airport with fewer hassles and convenient parking.

Bradley International Airport Welcomes New Nonstop Service on ValueJet [PW2677]

WINDSOR LOCKS, CONNECTICUT (August 15, 1995) – Bradley passengers can rejoice: ValueJet announces new daily nonstop service from Bradley International [BDL/KBDL] to six new destinations!

ValueJet today confirmed it will begin daily nonstop service from Bradley International [BDL/KBDL] to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall [BWI/KBWI], Cleveland-Hopkins International [CLE/KCLE], Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County [DTW/KDTW], Lambert-St Louis International [STL/KSTL],  Pittsburgh International [PIT/KPIT], and Nashville International [BNA/KBNA].

"ValueJet's confidence in Bradley Airport and its ability to support this service is the latest encouraging news that travel for business and pleasure is on the upswing," said Governor M. Jodi Rell. "It's certainly welcome news for residents of New England and travelers coming to New England.”

Adds ValueJet's COO Eric Melanson. "We think we have a vibrant market here at Bradley Airport. It makes sense in our schedule to offer Bradley customers more nonstop destinations.” Melanson said.  

ValueJet is now serving Bradley passengers with 15 daily nonstop flights to fifteen cities.

New Daily Nonstop New York - John F Kennedy International service on ValueJet [PW2677]

WINDSOR LOCKS, CONNECTICUT – July 23, 1995 – The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce new ValueJet daily nonstop service from Bradley International [BDL/KBDL] to New York - John F Kennedy International [JFK/KJFK].  “With the creation of the CAA, we have focused on tapping the full potential of Bradley International – and making it a regional economic driver, capable of taking on additional airlines and routes, advancing tourism, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, and attracting new, more diverse commerce to Connecticut,” said Governor Dannel P. Malloy.  “ValueJet has been a great partner in this effort and I appreciate their continued investment in Bradley International and the economic viability of our state.”

ValueJet’s Vice President Network Planning and Partnerships Scott Laurence said, “Our new flight to New York - John F Kennedy International is a testament to the success of our existing Bradley service and the continued support of the community and the ease of which it is to work with the Connecticut Airport Authority.  It’s that support exactly that allows us to further grow the excellent experience customers have come to know and love with ValueJet.”

Michael Fedele celebrated ValueJet's inaugural flights from Bradley International Airport at an event today. “It is my pleasure to welcome ValueJet to Connecticut: we welcome them to our business community and to the Bradley International Airport family,” said Fedele. “Bradley International is New England’s second-largest airport and the premier airport for Connecticut, having ValueJet as a carrier is a terrific travel opportunity for all our New England passengers.”
