General Chat / Too many planes?

For some reason I just ordered 5 Airbus A320s that are just going to sit there racking up maintenance costs...

Lease them  

Yeah.  Some of us are always willing to look out for reasonable lease rates on jets.   But there's someone in W8 hoping to get $25 million a month for a 737...  I guess they can always dream...

whats needed is under aircraft info next to profit is its maint cost so you can judge which planes are unecomnomic on which routes

since profit is misleading and is not profit at all unless costs are taken out and maint is a cost

This is a positive suggestion that I support and should be relatively simple to implement.  It is critical for proper fleet and route management.

General Chat / Misleading Aircraft Sale Values?

When I went to "Aircraft For Sale" there was a DC-3 that had a listed "value" of $2.28 mill. with an asking price of $2 mill.  But when I click on the "buy" button, the next screen shows an aircraft value of only $160K, but still an asking price of $2 mill.  This is just one example.  All others I checked seemed to have similar huge price discrepancies.  Please explain.
