I have never flown out of an airport not surrounded by Class D, C, or B airspace. I have never flown IFR. Thus, every flight I have ever made violates FAA rules.

General Chat / Re: Hub & Spoke vs. Point to point
« on: January 26, 2009, 02:31:06 am »
Point-to-Point makes the game more shallow, in terms of deciding where to hub, what planes to buy, etc., and diminishes the value of big airports like New York and Heathrow. I prefer Hub and Spoke.

Hmm. I would wait for a month change or two, and see if it stays stagnant.

Isn't Portland in Oregon?

Hey, people. I've been playing Flight Simulator X for a few months now, and went browsing, looking for a good virtual airline. Do you know any airlines that don't require you to download any aircraft? I don't have administrator rights on the computer, so I can't install addon airplanes.

General Chat / What's your new DOP in AM??
« on: May 09, 2008, 02:20:58 am »
DOP is 384,000. Loadfactor of 100%, using 4 DHC-6-300, and a Canadair with about 39 seats.

General Chat / How long do you keep paying ?
« on: May 07, 2008, 02:41:22 pm »
When you clicked "Confirm Lease" you paid for this month's use of the plane. If it wasn't like this, you wouldn't be able to use it until the start of the next month. Whenever the month changes for your world, you will not pay for the plane again.

General Chat / Concerning €1 Routes
« on: May 05, 2008, 01:48:59 pm »
My airline is less than a week old, but I'm not constantly getting screwed over by $1 Routes (If anybody knows how to make a euro sign on an american keyboard, tell me). Would you like to know why? It's because I found a decently sized niche market that wasn't on a clickfest. Heck, a third of my routes aren't competed with. I have only once ever had to adjust a price due to route saturation. And that was Tucson-Phoenix, so it was to be expected anyway. You see why I'm sucessfull just by looking at my route list/map. And as much as I never wanted to use the phrase, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Please, for insert deity here's sake, base at a 100K or 150K airport next round. It's so much easier than LHR and ATL.

Bugs / Insane Fare Capabilities
« on: May 05, 2008, 03:09:53 am »
Hey, there. I'm creating a route from Tucson (TUS) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and am able to charge 1460 Euros, while still keeping a 100% Load Factor. Is this a bug, or are there some really desperate passengers?

This is in World 3, with Canyon Airways, ID 12477.

General Chat / What was your starting airport?

Hello. I was just thinking for a while, and thought I would like to know about where all the airline owners started out. So where? I started at Tucson.
