Right now i'm focusing on the long haul market out of Rome, using the fabulous B707-320B (best long haul plane of W3 I must say! Just love it! ) And TU-114D for the routes with less traffic. Also the IL 18Ds that I have will be placed on niche markets, their original mainline routes being replaced with the De Havilland Comet 4C :wink:

Hi everyone, i just noticed that in World 3 the price of the DC-9 went from being 41 milion to 51 milion, with delivery time doubling from 24 days to 48 days. Is this a decision of the developers to correct low prices or is there something that affects aircraft prices?

In world 3 i would say that the 707-320B has an impressive potential. Over 6000nm range and 185 seats. Sure I could go with something bigger but still no aircraft came out which would offer the same range (except the 747 but i'm never going to buy one of those ) . I'm waiting for the Tristar or the DC 10-30 to come out, but maybe i'll stick with the good old 707

I think that on the <2000 miles segment and especially on European Flights, the best aircraft out there is the DC 9-30. It has 115 seats and range just like the 737-200 but is faster than the 732 and can therefore cover more routes. It is also cheap, coming in at only 40.000.000€. They are the backbone of my European fleet, i currently have 12 and am ordering about 1 a day at this rate.

For long range I think the 707 has no equals in this world

Just ordered my first jet, the first of many DC-9s initially of the series -30 then possibly to the series -50.
Here she is in the Euro Italian livery :wink:
(P.S it is actually a 717, but it was the closest thing I could find )

Mine is Rome - Tenerife B737-200ADV for  €112,811  followed closely by Rome - Islamabad DC 8-62 at €112,141

I agree on some sort of limitation over the worlds, I see it right now towards the end of this round where Europe for example is just flooded with airlines and it is almost impossible to open a route without other 5 competition airlines already operating it, which leads some people to charge ridiculously low prices on routes or a continuous battle on who can lower the price more to beat the competition and have a decently full aircraft. It would make things much easier and more serene

thank you all for your replies. If you do have some tips on how to reduce costs then i would be very happy if you could tell me :wink:
All my planes in lease profit over their monthly cost, some more some less, but maybe if i used planes of my property on those routes i would have several million euros less in expenses monthly.

I think the best thing I can do is give back those aircraft in leasing and buy more of my own

I thought about that but when I went to the finance page this came out



Until now all my expenses were covered by the ticket revenue which for some reason seems as if for this month the planes stayed on the ground. I have always had up to now a ticket revenue of at least 60 milion and only added more routes since this morning. It's as if the full revenues didn't go into the calculation
