weird thing is that the month turns over at 4pm EST here. i do see my DOP added. but then after midnight something is happening that some cash goes missing, does it turn over again or are aliens visiting us?

what time does the month rollover btw? that way i can try to be on to see how much is coming out and compare to the monthly expenses

same. when it comes to the LF. i really dont care if its 100%. i mean at first ofcourse, you gotta try to out due the competition to grow, but once you get to a sirtain point, doesnt really matter anymore. my average is 88.9% and thats only cause im trying to share with the rest of the competition, as long as my loads stay above 60% im happy, once it drops below that then i have to adjust my prices again.

and unfortunately i share routes with some of those who for some reason or another MUST have theyre load at 100%, which just starts to bring down the market value for the route for the rest of us cause you know everyone else is going to adjust theyre prices next  :x

i thought this was supposed to simulate real world ops, to a point ofcourse. but you run into those young ones who the only thing they know how to play is try and "conquer" over everyone else. not even the real airlines can corner the market, theres laws for that

put it this way. when you rent a house, they make you sign a lease     :wink: same. only rent.

to add to the confusion, theres also lease to own / rent to own. some brokers here have said they will do that, how they do it would have to be worked out with them on your lease

ok im still "fairly" new  

first time i thought the broker requests were for me    so first deal i made zip. but i figured it out  

anyway. i got MY first brokerd plane today. now how do i accept the offer from the airline? i got the PM. but where do i accept it. its not listed anywhere, not on my aircraft list either

ITS A GAME! what do they say when you cant handle the heat?

if your not happy with the game, go play another. simple as that. these guys dont get paid to provide a FREE game, but they do it anyway. should they start arguing with us cause we're using too much bandwidth?

if your aircraft still have hours, get more gates and make more routes. once your aircraft has no more hours left then its just sit and wait until you can rake in enough cash to buy/lease your next aircraft, and it goes on and on and on and on.

why not just beatem at his own game? hes gotta be losing money on those routes already, put something large with alot of seats and see how long he sticks around  

granted youll only be making a very small profit for awhile on that route but sometimes you gotta play fire with fire

General Chat / To those already doing 2+ frequencies on routes...

at first i started doing multiple frequencies until i figured out how this simulation worked, in AE it was pretty much a must to do multiple flights to the same location, glad its not the case here  

ive been able to expand pretty fast and grow with this feature. altho there are some routes where it is pretty much a good idea to do more then one frequency, atleast if you are using a small prop. on those routes ive noticed even if my ticket prices are sky high and im the only one on the route, doing more then flight brings in a better profit. if your using larger aircraft with large passenger loads then id definitely agree there, 1 frequency is the best for you, and at the same time giving room to others.

i wouldnt begin to compare this to real world. theres many factors that arent around here, ever cancel flights due to weather, delays, etc...? thankfully thats not in our simulation.

also dont forget in the real world, you dont have 30 airlines trying to compete on a single route. if that was the case then the airlines would be in big financial troubles

whats with the 1000 month leases. doesnt the simulation just run for a few months (real time) and resets?

i cant see the advantage of doing a never ending lease. the leaser never gets back the aircraft, and on the lessee's side he/she is stuck with a never ending bill. better have a good route system otherwise that bill is just gonna keep coming every month, what happens if for whatever reason you end up in the red?! hope you develop a good relationship with the leaser so he/she will let you off the hook  

ive got several leases out and in but i cant see myself doing any for that kinda time period   well okay if its a boeing or something like that and im making a ton of money that the lease becomes a mute point then ok lol
