you can sort those gates by names, distance, eic.

i don't see there are any significant advantages of using premium gate search

There are extra filters that Cheung has left out. There are also criteria to leave out airports that have  0 gates left, along with criteria to search just gates you own. And finally there is a create route button beside every result that opens in a new window or a new tab. Greatly increasing the speed of creating routes.

Edit: I have given you access to Premium Gate Search until midnight tonight Irish Time. You should get an idea if you like the feature.

I assume you are in Word 8...

The Canadair CL-215-102 is a nice plane with not terrible resale value. 32 seats, range 998, speed 160. At the low, low price of 3.3M.

But you should look in the open market. I don't know about world 8 but it's just possible some airlines are dumping their starting a/c at interesting prices. Also see if you can lease a few small planes. Sometimes there are VERY good deals in the leasing market.

yes i am dumping my a/c (incl. SE 210 10Bs ).....but to my alliance members only

And as you found two rounds ago, it's not wise to build a base on my bases.  

lol......my ex-competitor....
actually at that time i was planned to start off by having a base in SEA which i think there maybe less competition....and no matter how i was planned to move out to another mega base in latter stage........

can't imagine that i just try to hv at least one airport with less competition but i made the wrong choice lol

Please don't  build a base in ORD. :twisted:

actually i quite regret that i didn't start off in ORD
from my experience.....i believe LHR is the best base to start......(though i haven't tried)...and the second is ORD

there are some reasons why LF drops so dramatically within a short time.....

1. Larger planes mean more seats, more profits (theoretically)......however, if one edit the fare cheaper than your route, your profit and load factor get severe damage because you are using a LARGE plane!!!(eg. 767)

2. over focus on short haul routes......short haul routes are the ones which always have intense competition!!!! so why not fly to somewhere farther but less or even NO competition?? take my airline of W6 as an example.....i fly to more than 1800 airports from atlanta.....

by now.....i just edit my routes about every 3 days (W6)....and my LF still maintain very well.....
my suggestion is that if someone compete with you.......just let them go.....don't change your fleet so often.....
remember you also need research fee in order to edit a route...
only renew your fleet unless you can earn more significantly....and try more long haul....

p.s. i never use cheats....also i have stated many times it is not wise to build a base on my bases

i discovered that after i open a new airline in another world and i don't play it...
the gates will automatically returned as usual....and i can select my home base whereever i want....

if mass route update is implemented...
yes....it can save our time editing the routes BUT it means the ticket prices will go down further faster!!!!

my total costs seem have beaten my net profit ......
i regret that i have chose W6....i should have chosen W3 instead......the tu-114D is much better.....

Bugs / SFO-HKG!?

is that the choices of engine will increase when time goes by???
are there a list show when will the engines be available to choose?

just now i log on to world4 and look at the engine list....it's awesome...
i guess i will use b767-200ER as my main long haul fleet...lol
but Tu-114D is still my favourite one.....though it is not available anymore in world6
