Hi

I was thinking that in real life airlines operate longhaul flightson a weekly schedule and this could be a better was of doing long haul flights from smaller airports. I am not sure how itcould work but posibly as follows.
Removal of 0.5 flight would be needed and replaced as follows
Daily flight 7x weekly remains at 1
Double daily 14x weekly remains at 2 and so on
BUT
then 6 weekly could be 0.8
5 weekly 0.7
4 weekly 0.6
3 weekly 0.5
2 weekly 0.4
1 weekly 0.3

the 0.5 would be replaced by this so
for example
10 weekly would become 1.5. Daily=1 plus 3 weekly =0.5
16 weekly would 2.4
This would allow more flexibility when scheduling long haul route which are always 1 or 0.5 at the moment. The idea still needs work especially in relation to aircraft utilisation but it could become an ideal way to fly long haul in the game and would be a lot more realistic. Any input foranyone would be appreciated.

thanks

It would be nice to see what the maintenance cost per aircraft is so that you know which aircraft is driving your maintiance bill up

Suggestions / Lease Cancel
« on: December 10, 2012, 11:01:28 pm »
Hi

I have a problem and it has lead me to do some thinking,

I have a lease of 975months on an agreement with the airline and the airline is now inactive, I would like to have the leases returned because the aircraft are too old and it wont happen and I cant afford the maintenace costs

My suggestion is ethier somthing to sort out my situation directly AND/OR a new system that automatically cancels all leases when a inactive period is made OR it becomes availible for the leaser to cancel the codeshare

Thanks
PS: really need some help with my issue

Hi,

because when I set up the lease i set it up for a long time with the agreement from them that it would be returned hen they were no longer using it, the problem is that the lease rate wont cover the maintenance cost for much longer and so I need it returned so that I can scrap the aircraft.

Thanks

Hi

I was wondering if it would be possible to have the cost of each plane in terms of maintenance cost per month so that we know how much we are paying and we know when a plane becomes too expensive to operate effectively

Thanks

Suggestions / Via Points
« on: November 11, 2012, 08:17:58 pm »
I keep looking at the Airport Maps and it would be nice to see route like London- Sydney, Now I know there isn't an aircrft with this range and so via points would be good this would mean an airline could have London-Dubai-Sydney etc
Im not sure how difficult this would be

Look forard to your comments

So in your example airline 1 would be able to boost tiket prices buy 10% or something and airline 2 would be able to boost its prices on the codeshare routes by 10%
So if for instance LON-OSLO wasn't in the codeshare it would remain the same but f LON-TXL was in the codeshare it would be that flight that gets the boost

Hi thanks for the comments, I would have to say that Calebrw would be on the right track and you could boost prices by 10% or something similar if you had a codeshare partner feeded into a city that you serve ith the code share flight and the other person would also get a 10% addition to the price because you would be feeding thier flight

Hi

I think that it would be a good idea to start a codeshare system so that if two airlines operate on the same route they can codeshare this route if they want to and gain a larger market share.
It could also include adding routes which airlines dont serve for instance if one airline flies from Heathrow to New York and a short haul only airline wants this route but can't afford the planes for it they could codeshare this route at a cost for the shorthaul airline or in exchange for a coadeshare the other way.

Look forward to hearing your comments
