Bugs / maps not showing

OK I have found some other airports where the route maps don't work:

In Australia
Torres Islands - XXX
Brisbane Archerfield - ZZW
Ravensthrope - RVT - btw this airport should be spelt RAVENSTHORPE
Davis Station - AN0

In French Polynesia
Katiu Airport - ZYZ - should be KXU
Raivavae Airport - ZYY - should be RVV
Takume Airport - ZYX - should be TJN


I also have a question. Will an airport map not show due to too many routes from that airport? Eg Kuala Lumpur

Bugs / seems to be a problem with the .5 coding?

I have an aircraft flying in a day OOL - WLG (.5), WLG - MEL (1), WLG - CHC (1.5) then CHC - HKK (.5), which works out fine in a scheduling sense. When I go to edit the WLG - CHC route it will only let me fly 1 frequency, which then makes the route illogical as it wouldn't be able to fly the CHC - HKK .5 route. I have since changed the CHC - HKK to 1 frequency. Maybe a problem in the coding?

The aircraft ID is 19540
Airline ID 5136

Invercargill Airport in New Zealand appears to have a problem, possibly in it's coordinates. Route distance WLG - IVC shows as 913nm when it should be 477nm. I have tried several other routes to IVC and they are all out of whack. It says that Queenstown to Invercargill is 1115nm, which is about 1000nm too much, and Christchurch - Invercargill as 962nm! However the position on the map of IVC appears to be correct.

There are several New Zealand airports missing from the game that were in the last game..

Kaitaia (KAT), Kerikeri (KKE), Wanganui (WAG), Westport (WSZ), Greymouth (GMN), and Hokitika (HKK) are all no longer there!

Bugs / WLG - IVC distance

The distance for WLG - IVC reads 913nm which is incorrect.

GCM lists the distance as 477nm.

EDIT

Actually I have noticed that the 'nm' distances in the game are equal to the 'mi' distances in GCM. ?

General Chat / Airport Sim game?

Yeah Airport Tycoon wasn't very good. They had their points but were much too buggy and slow paced. Another would be great if they worked out the flaws. I enjoyed one but it got too difficult when various problems came up(unfixable delays/shops constantly competing/wanting a new terminal and not being able to get rid of the last/runways). Three was shocking although flashier, never played two but I assume it was the same. Another Airport Sim would be great but the demand I guess would be less than an Airline Sim unless they threw something in to speed it up or to work for. Or even an online version where your airports would compete and planes could fly in between them as well as other airports.

Yes I was trying to ask if anyone knew o any airport sim games other than the airport tycoon series. Like you Ihaven't played airport tycoon 2 but if it's anything like the others it won't be worth it.

I actually did enjoy the first one for a bit but n the end there was far too many bugs.

So does anyone know of any Airport Sim games? The ones mentioned earlier in this thread are all airline sim types.

I have to agree in part with pocketbookbrando, that the 1.5b has completely ruined the game. It was fun building up my airline and competing against others, which now just seems a waste of time. I can't be bothered with the rest of this round now and look forward to the reset.

But at the same time I realise that this game is still under BETA testing and thus can't expect a polished product. We are all in effect acting as testers of the game until such a time as it's no longer a BETA version.

There was the Airport Manager games.  The Monte Carlo Software Airport Tycoon game was pretty funny though.  Some of the graphics in the game were hysterically[/quote]

You pay 75% of gate rental for gates you have built as upkeep, ground staff salary, landing rights, utility... etc.

You have 22 gates in WLG = 22*100,000*75% = 1,650,000
The calculation is correct (I actually went in with a calculator and add all them up ).

Ah it all makes sense now. Thanks for clearing that up!

Bugs / [Not a bug] Monthly gate rental

Not sure if this is a bug or if there is an additional expense I don't know about but my monthly gate rental in finance screen is 6650000, yet when I add up the total it comes to 5000000.

I also built a terminal and returned all the rented gates there 2 months ago so maybe it's still calculating them in the total?

Seems like I'm out of pocket by 1650000 a month?

My airline ID is 5136
