We do have a history effect in the game which disappears when you close the route to swap an aircraft. The improvement you see is due to a small hub effect of more passengers using the airport because of more flights on offer there.

The statistics side of AM is something that needs to be improved amongst other things.

We have got some columns setup in the database already for lifetime profit and maintenance. The issue with maintenance is that its calculated on an airline's fleet as a whole and not individual aircraft. That's why the figure jumps depending on what happens (old aircraft leave, high value new aircraft arrive in) etc. In order to fix the maintenance issues we need a host of new statistics to be recorded and analysed in an efficient manner and the stats will obviously be coming first.

Hi there,

Firstly welcome to Airline Mogul. To choose an airport you want to fly to, you first need to rent a gate at that airport. Go to "Operations" and "Rent Gate" on the top and find the airports you want to fly to. Once you have a gate (You only need 1 gate for up to 10 flights) you can select it from the create route page.

Would the images not be loaded unless and until the user chooses to expand the listing?

Most of the time my only available Internet connection is dialup, and it'd be annoying if those images go ahead and load whether I actually choose to display them or not.

Well I thought of either having an option or building it into the current listing, so it stays the same at first, but you can hit a button to expand the full information shown above. The information would load automatically if I do that show/hide option so yes it would have an impact on a dial up connection.

Maybe the ability to choose whether to see the big images. They take up a lot of space, and makes it harder to make a fast comparison of the different aircraft on the list.

It would be an option alongside the existing format. I am mindful of the size of the thumbnails and since it is set by airliners.net I cannot change them. There could be an expand icon, similar to what we have on the view aircraft/view routes pages to hide the image and some of the detail otherwise.

Okay, its definately an oversight that needs to change. As part of it I quickly put together an idea to display the information in an alternative format, making it easier to  visualise some of the aircraft (Its not always easy!) and to connect it better with the aircraft market.



Does anyone have any other ideas for the aircraft search that would make it more interesting and useful?

The game stopped updating your airline once you went inactive in that world, and so your account stayed static. But now that you are back in the world it is updating again as normal.
