Title: Datestamps on posts in in-game forum
Post by: 1993matias on April 12, 2011, 03:45:16 pm
Hi!

It is a little bit confusing to find out when a post was created in the in-game forum, as the only timestamp is real time. I'd like to suggest adding an additional timestamp showing the game time when it was posted.

We do the opposite, by taking the duration of a world and giving you its ended date. Its a rough calculation so its not 100% accurate. I'll have to figure out how to do it for an exact game date.

The same way as with the PM system? There you have the game date it was sent.

That pulls the game date when the message is sent. That is an option alright but it would only be possible for any new worlds onwards or if I updated existing worlds it would work from posts at the time of the change onwards. If I do manage to work out the game date from the real date it could be a better option as it would work for all posts in all worlds immediately.

Can't you just use GMT?
