Title: [Done] Extra decimal place in plane hours?

Hi All,


Just thought of a potentially useful addition.  Would it be possible to add 1 decimal place to a plane's hours?  It would be useful to help maximize a planes remaining hours.  Right now, we have no idea if it is 1 hour 1 minutes or 1 hour and 59 minutes and that could be the difference between being able to fly to one city or renting a gate and wasting money.

IDK, but shouldnt the numbers shown up in the view aircraft page has been rounded up?

Anyway, I'ld like to see an extra decimal number. Indeed, 1 and 1.99 hours can make a great difference.

1.01 - 1.49 = 1h
1.50 - 1.99 = 2h

When I calculate an estimate for distance I can fly in an plane's remaining hours, I start by subtracting 0.4 from the hours shown. Because it's rounded to the nearest integer, this gives me a 90% chance of being able to make it to the distance I calculate. (example: 5 hours could mean anywhere from 4.5 to 5.499 hours, so I use 4.6 hours) I figure the small 10% risk is worth it in case there's a bigger airport just a little farther away. Don't forget to also subtract turn times before multiplying by speed.
Your other option is to add up the block times for all the other routes to find exactly how much time you have left.
In any case I think changing the hours value to be rounded to the nearest tenth instead of to the nearest one sounds like a good idea.

Good suggestion, will add but most likely in an actual time format like 4:25 (as in 4 hours 25 minutes free) if it's not too hard to code.

I prefer decimals, but it really doesn't matter to me.

That's fine, quite easy to check the remaining time, though decimals will still be used in my Excel file for more simple representation.

As some of you have seen, I've added this suggestion to View Aircraft and Create / Edit Route. Also, to give people some sort of consolation for not getting decimals, I have added those as well.

In View Aircraft, decimal time can be found when expanding the row, just above the Age listing.
In Create / Edit Route, decimal time is listed behind the normal route time.
