Found this really cool site, it's about the world's militaries, but they have a great page on airports.

Really good resource if you want to find a good untapped market to base in and compare markets.

THis is good for nice to know things in rl but in the game it's different. Some countries have proportionally way less airports than what is said on the page. Ex. North Korea 77 airports according to the page but in AM just 1. I think the rent gate (listed by countries if you want to know the total airports in a country) and of course the gate search is much more accurate.

AM features mainly airports with commercial passengers, not all airfields would handle commercial operations.That would be a big difference in the figures.
