Title: Tips on how to quickly de-route ac
Post by: pharmy on November 15, 2008, 10:11:28 am
Does anyone have a faster way of removing ac from routes, other then by the whole base? It takes forever to renew my fleet (even longer then creating routes), as I have to remove each older plane from their routes one by one and over two screens remove from routes, and a further 3 backscreens, and then again two screens to sell (ok this can be mass) or scrap? Couldn't remove from routes be added next to the magnifying glass/scrap plan icons?

There should now be a slightly faster way to replace an aircraft on a route. Basically hit the button to re-create a route at the end of closing it.

Exactly as Stephen said, close the route and you will then have the option to recreate using a different aircraft. Selecting it will bring you back to the create route page without having to re-select the city pair.

Thanks, this does help with long-range routes, but on shorter routes, closing them one-by-one probably takes longer as this function dosn't work on close all routes

That's a good idea. On close all routes, could there be a button next to each route closed message. Perhaps with the create route boxes opening in new tabs/windows.

This is not hot swap, but is a good step towards it. Hot swaps would involve automatically being able to transfer all the routes from one plane to another. This is still involves manual redoing of each route.
