Title: Block operating costs for A/C
Post by: CornField on May 22, 2007, 10:48:06 pm
I found a PDF file from ICAO with the block operating costs from Summer 2000, for many of the A/C in the game without any current operating cost info.

Any one in particular interested??

I think me and stephen both are interested; it's a bit late in the game to implement most i'd imagine because ya know what? there's a looootttt of crj routes in place that'll be off at present..

it'll be nice for between age changes.

Fuel flows are based on that data, I created a calculator for them as best I could. Great document but pitty it doesn't have more data.

Yes, I wish also it had a better description of what costs are included.  But considering just how many aircraft in the game have no costs beyond fuel costs.

The 319 in game shows $692(using my kids computer, no euro symbol) and the ICAO report shows US$ 698 fuel costs in Summer 2000.  But it shows a total block operating cost of $ 2,156

The 343 as 1,771 in game, and 1,848 from the ICAO.

I was putting off the cost per hour changes until I got a full list of stuff that is not dependant on passengers, such as ATC Charges etc. Not too sure what approach to take, as in have staff costs included in the cost per hour or have it external?

.

Isn't ATC costs figured in to landing fees at each individual airport?

We can reasonably estimate crew costs, using industry standards.
Capt. is X per block hour, F/O is Y, F/A's use the 50 pax requirement and Z cost per block hour.
