Title: Are we going to see the 717?
Post by: CornField on May 22, 2007, 12:44:45 am
The date in the game is already past the merger date of Boeing and Mc Donnell Douglas.
We know that the proposed MD-95 became the 717.
So do we see, the MD-95 or do we get the 717?

If you look on the link below, it will state the first flight was in 1999. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B717

Actually look closely at Garbage-pedia. It states EIS as Sept. 99 in the text. But the info box under the Valu-Tran pic says 'Maiden flight' Sept. 2 1998, 'Introduction' Oct. 12 1999.
So it has three differing dates, or so it seems.
Now continue reading the text...
It states that Valu-Tran placed an order in 1995 for the MD-95, which went to Boeing during the 1997 swallowing of the McDonnell Douglas.
But you didn't answer the fundamental question. Will we see the aircraft as the MD-95 or as the 717?

Ok, fine. We will see it as: MD-95 & Boeing 717-200 (Seperate entries).
