How good (or bad) are the executive jets like McDonnell Douglas MD-87 Executive Jet?

"it depends on the route and competition and phase of the game"

I used to use MD-83 Biz Jet and B-732 Biz jets to do ME - SZX / HKG routes....

They arent bad....

A cheap way to do Long hauls, I would say :P

They were ok, not the super money makers that other could be, but they did help open up most of the world for my airline for flights to cities which a Tu-114D was too big for (this was in the 1970s round, so I'm referring to the B-732 BizJet). But that is the only reason I bought the in the first place.

Lol. I leased 2 MD-87 BizJets for NRT-HNL and Tokyo - San Francisco , plus Tokyo - Hong Kong.

They are operating some of the most profitable flights I have. Plus im the only carrier operating to the US out of Narita  ;)

They should hold me over until I get to order some Fokker 100s (for the HKG route) and long range aircraft (the other two routes).

Just a cheapo way to get long lines in my routemap.

My thoughts exactly, I leased two MD-87s to secure Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas + New York gates. They're just interim aircraft until I get A330s.
