Title: [W9] Boeing 727-100?

Has anyone started flying the B727?  It's a rather pricey plane but fast... any comments on it?

I'm looking into buying larger aircraft (currently my largest domestic aircraft is a Tupolev Tu-104A).  If I fly the Boeing 727, it'll be for mid-range flights (say, 1500+ nm to somewhat large cities, such as honolulu or anchorage).

I read before that Boeings come with a hefty maintenance bill and was wondering how this new aircraft has been faring...

I will begin operating Boeing 707-120/320B/420 and Douglas DC-8-43 for long haul within 2 game months.

Yes Pinnacle has been flying 727-100's, we own 6 and lease 3 more.   For a total of 9 and plans to order more.   They are pricy, but there great aircraft I really like them they have allowed me to speed up TransContinental Jet Service.   My only compliant is the lack of range from the West Coast to Hawaii, but I don't regret ordering these planes.
