Post by: expressair on July 15, 2008, 07:24:18 pm
Hi. I just wanted to know if the city traffic grows with increased connectivity???? Or are the traffic figures locked for the world????

Traffic grows. A little. Not much but quite noticeable. When you have created a few routes and go back to edit them, you may notice that very often you can raise your fares.

Otherwise, and until "floating airports" (I think that's what it's called) is implemented, base airport pax stays constant, unless updated real world data becomes available.

Seems the term is actually "fluctuating"...

See this thread: http://stephenm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5849&highlight=fluctuating

Fluctuating airport refers to airport size. If a world features fluctuating airports, the number of pax would be influenced by the flights operated to/from the airport. I am not sure if this is implemented yet at this time. I don't think it is yet.
