Title: Registration at its Lowest
Post by: qantas on July 08, 2008, 03:39:58 am
Dunno why..but player registration to worlds has been really really slow in June and even now. What's happening? Most people are out of school already  , so that should spur more players....
WHY??? WHY???
*asking in a nice wittle voice* When is the next world coming??

I would imagine that most people had decided that one or two worlds is enough for them. I love this game a lot, but I'm trying to keep myself limited to only one world at a time just because it can get so addicting, and having to worry about school (Taking a Calc III Class this summer), joining more worlds is possibly not in my best interest. Anyways, that last question, as much as it has been beat to death like crazy, had been answered at least twice before, and that is when W9 gets 80% full I hear.

I am under the assumption that Multiworlds started right before I joined, maybe a 2 weeks before. I, too, at first thought the idea of being able to be in 3 worlds at once would be a great idea, but if you have other things to do, you really only have time to manage one airline WELL.

I spend up to 1.5 hrs a day on Airline Mogul managing two worlds. That's enough for me. I'd have to quit my real job if I wanted to be in every world. Plus, I imagine that allot of people are on vacation nowadays and sitting on the beech (pun intended) instead of flying it.

It's easy to get burned out on. One world is plenty when you have to spend HOURS updating/creating routes. People might get back in when AM can find a way to cut down on such time consuming tasks.

cause well its winter. Its not like summer were you can go out all the time
you will stay home more often cause of cold weather and snow and that. So most people will go online when they are stuck at home. So... :D

Your theory won't work over here... In winter, people just go overseas (Everywhere). Students just keep revise and revise.

oh when the airline gets bigger and you have planes which are like 3-4 years old and you wanna replace it but it takes like soo long to do that...people do get discouraged...i guess

More people join in summer. Kids have nothing better to do, and neither do the other people in the education industry. :D
Also, Doug, it depends on what your version of Winter is. Winter in Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere are totally different. :P

Actually, I think a huge truckload of players will register for World 9 between the 16th of this month till the 3rd of the next. Worlds 3, 5, 6, 7 are coming to an end.
It's a pity to see the Select World page so empty
World 10's coming!!!!

I'll join a new world when I see one I like. And not a second before.
But yeah, registration has definitely slowed to a near halt.

That's not true. People in the Southern Hemisphere are mid-way through the school year. Although I'm playing a bit more because it's winter. In summer I'm out doing stuff.

I figure this time I'll try my hand at Europe. Maybe start out at Paris....(airline name will stay the same)
Any world 10 years or longer that starts anytime after 1988 should do (late 90's preferred-I want my airline to be flying an all-airbus fleet.).

Except your summer vacation is a month or two long. We only get a week or two, similar to what you guys get off over Christmas.
