totally, its every couple of years that a new one come out tho. So we have to wait awhile
I want one with better crashing if you accidentally do. Not the just hit something and thats if, some smoke comes out and that.

You can download addon effects for that from www.flightsim.com or www.avsim.com .

Micro... said they were in the thinking mode for starting a new one that could come out in 09 or 10.

But Very likely, FSXI / FS 2009 would come out in 10.
(Considering FS2004 came out in 2005, I call it FS 2009)

I read that there was a setting in the config file of each AC where setting it to 1 would turn on crash effects...why didn't MS put it in the game settings, I don't know. 8)

Well, if you really want a good flight sim that would deal with stuff like that, I would recommend getting XPlane. It is very realistic as far as physics go (with MSFS, if you switch the dynamics files around, you can basically have something insane, like Sears's tower Behave like an F-16, where XPlane actually takes the plane's shape into consideration). It doesn't have all the pretty eye candy of MSFS, but it even is certified to be used on real high league sims.

I don't think he means crash effects, I think what he means like if you clip a fence or something, it would damage your gears. In a way though, some planes in MSFS does deal with damage effects, not as well as XPlane though, but pretty well. Not to mention that not all aircraft have crash effects. I once had an event when I was landing at KMIA in a AN-24RV in FS2004, a 734 rear ended me, I lost the wing and it just went down like a plane crash, not stop in mid air. Just matters how you do think.
