Title: Lucky Gate-Grabs

Anyone here have tales of lucky gate grabs?

For example, I was browsing gates today and noticed a few gates open and LHR and an open gate at Paris Orly, so I created a route between them, reserving them for future use. 8)

Any more stories, post here ;)

If you get 4 more you can make a terminal  :P

I thought you were only allowed to build terminals at Hubs..

But if you get 4 more gates you should make a HUB there then add a terminal.

Well, I'm sure someone's going to want it badly enough to give me an Aircraft for it...

Do what I did.  Start a short route with a crappy plane from an alliance route and fly to ATL.  Great way to reserve gates. :D

I was lucky to get 4 gates at AMS once. I had looked few minutes earlier, and there was nothing. I went back to look, and someone had just returned 4 gates. Made me a great big hub! :D
