Does Dettol Instant Hand Sanitizer give you risk of getting cancer.
But i don't think it can because why would they use it in hospitals if it gave you cancer????

Smoking causes cancer, too, but there are still places where they sell cigars :wink:

Im just thinking that if it is, why would they use it in hospitals?
My sister when she was doing nursing was told to use it after every thing that she had to do and before, doctors use the same...

It may be one of the things listed under Proposition 65 in California (a regulation which says anything with even the slightest chance of causing "cancer, birth defects, or other adverse reproductive outcomes" has to be reported on the label) or a similar law. This rule means that even things with "no significant risk" need to have labels, for example Maraschino cherries "cause cancer". If you eat million of these cherries, you may get cancer from it, however, with any number of cherries you could conceivably eat, you will be fine.
I don't know, but it may be something covered by this law. However, it would not be used if there was any significant risk of cancer from it.

Erm, yeah, but you have to be really, really stupid if you know you're allergic to peanuts, which you'll notice after about the first handful of them, and still keep on eating handfuls of peanuts.

I'd still use it for the moment, its good at what it does. (Peace of mind that everything else has been killed off)

You can be killed by anything in a large enough dose.
For a single sitting of eating chocolate, for a human it is something like 4 tonnes.
Anyway, where you live can also be carcenogenic.
I live over the Granite rocks which make up the south western peninsula of England, the most radioactive place in the UK.There are a number of people here every year dying from Radiation poisoning, mainly caused by the huge amount of Uranium sitting under the granite, which turns into Radon gas, which permiates through the rock and into people's houses, causing radiation poisoning. Fun.
