Title: # of airplane trips
Post by: seatac on May 20, 2008, 12:27:04 am
I was wondering why one of my MD-80s only goes to a max. of 3 trips when my other DC-9 does around 8, i even have only around 75% utilization at my hub. Is there anyother factor?

Have you enough slots at both ends of the route? Is the distance the same?

No, the aircraft doesnt even show on the create a route page, does it have anything to do with hours?

How many hours do you have left on the plane? If it does not have enough hours left to make the trip or if it is out of its range it will not show up on the create a route page.

If your DC-9 does short trips only while your MD-80 flies longer routes I do not see any problem.

1. Check how many hours your aircraft has left and if there is enough time to fly the new route.
2. Check if the aircraft is capable to fly the route.
