Title: Multiple flights on one route
Post by: Craze on February 26, 2008, 11:23:27 pm
Is it legal to have more then one flight on a route as long as the frequency is over .5?

I am currently running 2 routes with 2 flights a day, 1 freq each. I don't want to get suspended and if it is not legal I will change it immediately.

Yes, it is alright.
One exception: freq 1.5, 2.5, etc count as .5 routes. This means you cannot do 1x 0.5, 1x 1.5 and 1x 2.5 on the same route.

One more question. Are there any negative longterm effects of running 2 flights on 1 route?
The short term effects fills my pockets with cash! :D

I don't want to end up running my airline down the drain!

It is more efficient to run 0.5 or 1 freq routes. Although you will have to spent more money on gate rentals in advance.

Yes. With 2 flights on one route you'll be earning more than with just one, but far less than twice more. This means that if you did a single flight and, with the spare time, did *another* route, you'd be earning quite a bit more.
