Title: The "Questions For Fun" Thread.
Post by: EXTspotter on February 23, 2008, 12:04:22 am
The thread is simple, ask a question, it could be about whatever you like, the more obscure the better. When someone gets that question correct, they ask a different question. We can keep up the scores as we go along...

Anyway, first question:

How many Celtic Nations are there and what are they?

I am sorry, but you can only ask a new question if you get the last one correct, which you didn't :p

There are 5, what are they?

You got 3 exactly, the other 2 are too general.

Im gona guess, as there are 6 languages, there are 6 countrys:

Cornish, Cornwall
Welsh, Wales
Scots, Scotland
Manx, Isle of man
Irish, Ierland
Bretton (?), Britanny (you should know where that is in France)

If im right, my question is, what race (as in event, not people) has the most money spent on it?

Fair enough, I was useing the largest private sailing yacht, where is this one, and where was she launched? Then you win!

Also, answer for largest private, for extra bonus points :D

EDIT: Just had a thought, I dont know whether the data for where the 5 master is at the moment is avalable on the internet.
What do we do if no on can work it out? Do we just modify my question to the larges PRIVATE sailing yacht?

I would recon canada might have had some.

Blue Sky Mine, what are the questions like?

Also, because I dont think anyone will get it, the Largest private Sailing Yacht is the EOS, which is LOA - 304.86-ft. Launched in Germany from the Lürssen yard.
Largest sailing boat commercial is the Royal Clipper - Registerd Luxemburg, no idea where launched, no idea where she is now.

Ok, there are 300 questions (the British test only has like 140) and a very good example is this one:

Q: What vessels are required to carry a radio?

A: All ships required to do so by the German naval safety laws.

Got the idea about why I think our burocracy is crap?

No. You have to know loads of ridicoulus shortenings (the meanings of those you have to know by heart). And you can say that all 150 or so questions the Germans have added are completely irrelevant bull*vegetable*.

The Royal Clipper was built from a hull of some cruise liner in Russia i think. She was built in Gdansk, Poland. She was in the carribean on Feb 23rd, so i assume she'll be there now as well.

Was it developed from the F-111?
