Title: DOP per passenger

Now that this round comes to an end I would like to know: What is your DOP per passenger these days?

Dividing my DOP by the number of total passengers carried I recieve the value: 303.50 EUR/pax.

Mine is quite OK for the low-cost carrier I'm trying to be. €111/p at the OrangeAir HQ.

Hm, not interesting enough. It does not include several expenses.

 :idea: New formula:

P=Projected Totals Profit/Loss from your Finance screen
pax=daily passengers
t=24days

value = P / t / pax

Mine is 204.46 EUR.

Formula above is not perfect for people that lease out or broker or sell planes as these incomes have nothing to do with the regular pax business.

With that formula, mine would be €-381,45. When I add plane sales over the last 24 hours, I'm around the €1.000,-.

I did, and I know the formula isn't interesting for me, so I slightly adapted it to not incorporate maintenance costs for my entire unused fleet of Beeches: €76,02. The other calculation was more to prove your point, really :)

I wanted to compare my business with others. The bad thing is that the location of your bases should be about the same. I think even the higher gate costs at bigger airports than my bases will not cut down the - lets call it - "running operational profit per pax" to my value. But it would be nice to know. Hopefully some located at Atlanta, Heathrow or other bigger airports will post here. :roll: Hm, the formula should exclude all leased out aircrafts and "one time" expenses such as research costs, aircrafts buys/sells. But how to extract that value? I dont know what kind of running costs/income is hidden in Misc. Expenses/Revenues. :roll: Maybe it is time for a new formula (did I mention math was my favourite class in school but I hated statistics? :lol: )

Is food/drinks the only income that is displayed in the Misc. Revenue? If so it should be integrated in this formula. :roll:
