We have an aiport (duh!)
there are Taxi's
pretty good bus system
light rail coming in 2009
Poor street cars, they got replaced in 2005 :cry:

Post by: Triple_7 on February 06, 2008, 05:36:58 pm: I live in a tiny little farm town in Indiana with a population of about 6,000 and sits within 3.6 square miles....what the hell is mass transit :lol: I've walked from one end of town to the other in 20 minutes :roll: Warm weather I usually walk places, only drive when headed out of town. Traffic is nothing here, only during the 2 rush hours or school letting out does it get a little crazy. Spend most of my time out in the country, I hate living in town. Some of us have even rode horses into town before and no one even thought it was odd :roll:

Now take someone like me who's used to living in a quiet farm town, throw them into the bustling cities of Chungli and Taipei, Taiwan and see what the reaction is :o Have to admit...the mass transit systems I experienced were pretty decent. Loved how you could pretty much get to anywhere from anywhere with ease. But riding around on a little moped with cars and hundreds of other mopeds only inches away scared the crap out of me :oops: :lol:

Try riding a bike through a large city (pretty much anywhere in the world). That's interesting (although I consider basejumping a healthier activity :shock: )

There is a handicapped-access bus, but nothing for regular folks. We're right smack dab between Dallas and Fort Worth. There have been referendums on adding buses, but the yahoos who live here vote it down.

What is so stupid is they're building the new Dallas Cowboy's stadium here, next to the Texas Rangers and Six Flags. Game days are going to be fun.[/RANT]

I've been to Seattle - there can be 7-12 hour waits when there isn't snow :P

LOL! This is true. I missed a Seahawks game once and I landed 4 hours before the game.

Cincinnati utterly sucks in the MT department. We have buses and taxis but due to the amount of stops and the regular traffic going in to and out of the city from Greater burbs, you can generally get there about 5 times faster if you drive yourself. What we need is a light rail system parallel to our colossal 3 lane interstates but the voters continually vote it down due to a better anti-light rail campaign.

What's really funny is we also have an equally bad outbound rush in the morning and inbound rush in the evening... If you ever land in CVG during either rush hour, plan extra time.
