Title: Mass Transit Mogul
Post by: nwadeltaboy on January 23, 2008, 09:52:15 pm
Here's an idea for another Mogul game: you choose a city to start with, and you can create el's, subways, light-rails, trams, streetcars, monorails, bus routes, commuter rails, etc for your company. You can rent other players tracks, create schedules, transfer stations, etc. :D

Maybe integrate different companies? or even alliance companies. Like if one company operates the subway system an agreement with a bus company would be great.

Time to give this thread a fatal blow :(
Nate, you wont have time to create schedules for even more types of trasportations. AM is taking me over 2 hours to manage an airline, the Mass-Transit Mogul is going to take even more time.
Also, not all roads / areas are suitable for buses / railways. Roads that are too steep or have too many sharp turns will have weight/length restrictions for the vechiles travelling on it. (Many roads in Hong Kong are too steep and too many sharp turns for a normal double-deck bus, not to mention articulated buses)
Areas with low population density is not suitable for Railways.
How can this mogul game gives data concerning steepness, restrictions and population density at the same page?

One thing. Monte Cristo fails. Look at their last city building related game. It's even worse than EA's hurried SimCity 3.
what failed with monte cristo is that airline simulation game. The fact that there was a few aircraft models missing and everything being a daily struggle

Trust me, this CitiesXL game will not fail.
And why do you make an argument out of every single thing. Getting sick of you now. If you don't like it, just don't say anything.

Unless Cities XL is a more realistic, more complicated (I liked that in SC4D), and less buggy game than SC4D, I'll stick with SC4D. As you can also tell, I absolutely hate SC Societies.

The world isn't perfect. If everyone complimented everything everyone said, the world would be a failure. Since it's released soon, we'll see how good this game really is.
