I've actually got two different reference sources on the L-1011.
The first, Lockheed L-1011 TriStar by Philip Birtles, pg 13 - economical cruising speed is Mach 0.85 - 490 knots
The second, TriJets by Robbie Shaw, pg 127 - max cruising speed of the L-1011 is listed as 520 kts, DC-10-10 is 501 kts.

According to Jane's....
L1011-1 Max diving speed = Mach .95 Max cruising = Mach .90 (~515 kts) Econ cruising = 480 kts
DC-10's Never exceed = Mach .95 Max cruising = 480~501 kts, depending on model / enging variants
so.... yea.... :? -goes look-
and updated...... speed, range.... and price
dktc runs away and hide before players start screaming and throwing stuffs at him

Actually, I think that the comparison between the L-1011 and the DC-10 is pretty accurate. The Lockheed had advantages in range and speed for the basic variants since it was designed to take advantage of the RB.211, but that powerplant exclusivity also led to it being more expensive after the RR reorg.
I'll still have my fleet of L-1011s, it's just going to take a little longer to assemble it :?

Actually the data for the DC-10's is not accurate as well... but it would screw things up too much to update them at this time.
