I have found the official data for all Iranian airports.
The good news .... many new airports.
The bad news .... current figures are grossly inflated. Mashad for instance has 20 mill pax ingame. According to official stats it doesn't even make 4 mill!!

I could find airport data but unfortunatly not the pax/cargo data.

The Iranian bureau of Civil Aviation. They have the figures in English. but their website is in Farsi. So I asked an Iranian friend to help. He found the right page and send me the URL :lol: ! So thanksto him I found those figures ..... they are the official ones!

nearly finished guys, stephen is it alright if I give you all the data in a excel spreadsheet?

doh, already sent it the spreadsheet directly to stephens account. There is too many airports to do via the submit airport feature, thats why I put it in a spreadsheet

Pm me the spreadsheet and I will submit them. This is why I said in the pm's: if it is to much let me do it .......... Air Elbonia and stephen do not have much time .....
Air Elbonia: The source is in English. IT is the Iranian Civil Aviation Authorities.

ugly admission: [the only benefit we have that submit_airport doesn't is we can get away with using more special characters]. it's the same basic ugly 1 ap at a time submission.

How long before the airports are submitted? do you want me to add it, cause im more than happy to do that via the submit airport page. how about we leave the airports that are already in the game which need to be updated till the next round?

Add the airports that are not already ingame. I started to update passenger and cargo data but I was scared off by the difference in numbers and the fact I had to go to bed. :lol:

I accidently forgot to put in the cargo data for ardabil (OITL, ADU) only 85 tonnes
also Arak airport was added by accident of me pressing enter too early, need to delete that airport in order for me add that airport

Must be the ZZZ Code. I'll have to create a fix for that.

I mentioned that earlier. You will get scared also when I get around to doing Pakistan. Actually the Indian updates I send you guys should have been scary already!

I have a laptop and a Vodafone 3G Modem, how do you think I made the post. ;) But unfortunately outside of populated areas there is only GPRS coverage and I was distracted with having a conversation with a gentleman in the asile across from me, while also catching up on my sleep and reading my newspaper. :)

The airports in Iran being Zxx is actually stopping the maps to load. how about renaming them AAB,AAC,AAD etc. cause theres isn't a lot of airports with no IATA

Changing them to those codes will also make it stop working. Its like changing them all to JFK (Or another code that works) is the way to prevent the problem, but then its not a true route map.
