Ah... Yeah.

About 1994. They were too big for the airline and replaced them with A330s.

Instead the head of Aer Lingus was taken from Emirates and it was floated on the stock exchange, giving it the funding it requires to operate its first base outside of the Republic of Ireland and ordering new A330s.
