Title: Airline 8111 Aircraft 5977, cannot cancel route.
Post by: BigDerriAir[FT] on January 04, 2008, 03:19:33 pm
All routes on the A/C state "This route is the only route connecting between two points" or something along those lines. I can't cancel ANY route the A/C flies. Help!

I see the problem... somehow I have three .5 routes on that aircraft.

It should be possible out of multiple bases alright.

The 0.5's are not your problem, the problem is that you have used the plane to fly between 2 bases via another airport, or rather you are flying to the same destination from 2 bases with the same plane, and a plane can only really have one base.
Example:

You have base A and B, and you are flying to C,D and E with one plane 1.

Routes
A-C
A-D
A-E
Then you go to base B and select create route to E and up comes the available planes 1(since it's already at your desired destination),2 and 3. If you then choose plane 1 it will be like a continued flight A-E-B.
If you try to close route A-E route E-B would be hanging with no connection to base A, which is the place the plane starts from, and that is why you can't close that route.
Besides, I don't think you are allowed to have 3 0.5's on a plane ;)

3x.5 [usually in a line, or a few "erroneous" ways. trust me, far fewer laws of physics can be broken in most cases.] are possible and legal in game.  A->B->C->D [all one-ways] is fine and acceptable to the code. A->b, A->c, a->D is not acceptable to the code all as one-ways. [one must be round trip].

Odds are that yes, Scandalian otherwise is correct, that you have an A->B->C chain, in the midst of several other A->X routes preventing you from closing A->B.

The problem is that i can't cancel ANY route. I've tried cancelling every route the plane flies. None will cancel.

I've got a F28-100 (Ac id 14624) where I cannot close the routes. When I try, either individually or as a 'close all routes' for the a/c I get a  string of error messages (copied below) and although it tells me they are closed, they aren't.

Edited to say: happening out of other bases on other aircraft :(
