Any airlines that you would consider to be like this?

Customer Service without a doubt. The likes of Aer Arann in Ireland are fantastic, the entire staff are more than friendly to you. While Aer Lingus's long haul arm is something left to be desired...

Customer service and NO TECHNICAL STOPS IN THE US (if you're flying internationally). Transit is fine, at least you get to get off the plane...
CX is good, except their YYZ-HKG flight, depending on the season & equipment might make a stop in AND...fortunately they are replacing their 343 fleet with 773's and will do the polar route starting this year :D

To differentiate your airline from all the other airlines operating in the same area, improve onboard services, improve the levels of customer service, increase the levels of crewing on flights, upgrade the IFE to include AVOD on PTVs and offer it all for the same price as everyone else. When going on Longhaul Package Holidays (Charter) Thats why I choose First Choice. First Choice is lightyears ahead of the other airlines operating in the longhaul charter area. The seating for one, on ThomsonFly's 767s, it is 2-4-2 in Economy, On First Choice it is 2-3-2, the FCA IFE system was rolled out on the 767s 4 or 5 years ago, only one of the other longhaul airlines has even tried to beat it, Thomsonfly again, with a similar system along with increasing seat pitch to match FCA, but without other upgrades like the 777 signature interior and new seats.

Well I will say Customer Service , and IFE. AVOD is not necessary but will be a plus. The name CX,SQ,MH tell's u everything. Why not take example from these airlines?

Hm... Reliability: Does the airline crash a lot? How often is it late? How's the ground service? Do they loose many bags? How is the realtionship between the workers and the company (strikes coming to my mind)?
Onboard: How is the service? Is the crew friendly? Do they treat you like crap when you fly cattle class? Do they have free meals/free drinks/free booze? What's their baggage allowance? How are the seats? Do they have AVOD? How often do people strand because the flights are overbooked?

China Airlines:
Does the airline crash a lot? Yes How often is it late? at least 75% How's the ground service? poor Do they loose many bags? can't count, even electronically How is the realtionship between the workers and the company (strikes coming to my mind)? not that bad actually...
Onboard: How is the service? non-existent Is the crew friendly? what crew? Do they treat you like crap when you fly cattle class? more like bull crap Do they have free meals/free drinks/free booze? unfortunately yes. that unfortunately there because the free meals were free for them too :( What's their baggage allowance? normal How are the seats? what seats? Do they have AVOD? hah! in your dreams! How often do people strand because the flights are overbooked? many people are stranded, but not because the flight is overbooked, more like EQUIPMENT LOSS.
That's Asia's Worst Airline in a nutshell XD

N/A as the computer looses count How is the relationship between the workers and the company (strikes coming to my mind)? Not sure...

Oasis Hong Kong airlines
Does the airline crash alot? No crashes at all. How often is it late? Quite bad in 2007 but heard it's improved. My flight was dead on time. Hows the ground service? Good, matches legacy standards. Do they loose many bags? Haven't heard of any incidents. How is the relationship between the workers and the company (strikes coming to my mind)? Pilots, FAs and ground staff seemed to be in high spirits.
Onboard: Is the crew friendly: Very friendly. Do they treat you like crap when you ride on cattle class: No, and there is frequent water service. Do they have free meals/free drinks/free booze? Yes. You get the same amount of food as Finnair. Booze - don't know. Cup noodles will cost you - but it also costs you on Finnair. What's the baggage allowance? 23 kg, very generous. How are the seats: Old frame but new cushions and covers make it comfortable. Do they have AVOD: PTV showing 1 year old movies, and this is a LCC! How often do people strand because the flights are overbooked? Never heard.
Others: Price: Very Cheap 6 months in advance, extortionate if short notice.
Overall very good airline. "Full service" Finnair just got killed by a LCC!

A great airline must be one of the main rivals of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair.

I reckon they can't "top" China airlines in the crash aspect. For now at least they have some old SQ birds which still should be in a pretty good shape.

NorthWest?? Are you kiddin? I even paid more to go to LAX just not to endure NorthWest. I felt that every penny spent on CX was worth it.

A smooth flight that brings you to your destination on-time, without hassle, and with you leaving the airport happy.
A posh plane may help, but it is the friendly and efficient service that really matters the most.
I would say the ideal would be the CO HKG ground staff + CX / SQ cabin crew + JAL meals + EK / QR(int'l fleet) planes. Now... that would be something to look forward to
