what will be the difference between hubs and focus cities in the future?

Hubs are basically scrapped. No plans for them really.

I prefer to use the word hub, lot shorter and leaner on the tongue than focus cities :)

Thats why I named them "Bases" in-game. More universal word. "Focus City" I would regard as American.

hubs will have an affect on demand [similar to alliance's codeshare effect, however it will not affect anyone but that player regardless of circumstance].  there will also be a nifty part that "undoes" some used demand on routes which should soften up competition a bit / offer more stable prices for the airline with a hub.  focus cities will upgrade into hubs, and there will likely be a significantly lower cap for hubs then fc's [hubs will also be a lot more expensive, but yes].  on paper it looks good, i just need to finish it.
