The Airbus A340 had a price in 1989 for 81 million, first flight in 1991, and was fully operational in 1993.
A330 fully operational in 1994 and first flight in 1992.

Its not known as the A330-300LR, its known as the A330-300X, so the name used on AM was wrong.

I think that it's basically a HGW version. It might have an extra fuel tank though....but it cirtainly can't take 440 people as far as it does in AM!! :lol:

how about the other engine options on the 777s? I'm sure that BA were operating GE powered birds in about 1997.....
