PM Gordon Brown today announced a 3% increase in British land tax rates. In an urgent press conference amid hundreds of protesters standing outside the PM office on Downing Street, Mr Brown said that it would lead to a stable surplus in the new year's funds. In return, the PM promised to increase funding for social welfare and family planning, targeting those living in less privileged circumstances. In other news, the UK celebrated the new year with plenty of screaming and pushing and drinking.
Military
The UK has stepped up defense in and around the Persian Gulf, sending two more frigates from an undisclosed base in Egypt to the area. The UK has sent a military envoy to Washington to discuss further issues regarding the temporary government in Iraq and the surrounding area. It eagerly awaits the US to receive the envoy.
International
The UK has proposed a new resolution, to be debated and voted upon in the United Nations. All nations are requested to read and reply to the resolution, so that it can be passed or rejected quickly.

ALARMED at the recent reports regarding aggravated states of global warming,
CONCERNED about the future of all peoples around the world in the coming future,

PROPOSES all nations to reduce emissions of CO2, CO, NOx and suspended particulates to 80% or lower or its current values by the year 2015,
SUGGESTS a Climate Change Fund to be created to assist countries who have financial difficulties applying the previous clause,
and STRONGLY URGES all nations to educate its citizens about the serious problem and what can be done to lower each person's emissions.

The Philippines

The Philippine Govt approved the National Bank BSP(Bangko sentral ng Pilipinas) to cut further key policy rates an action taken to slow down the fast running pace of the Philippine Peso(National Currency), currently the Strong Peso is affecting the country export and USD earner of the country. On the other hand the strong currency has helped maintain inflation and low oil prices. The Peso has gained 18.8% appreciation against the Dollar making it the best performing Asian currency. The once 1USD=55PHP now stands at 41, future forecasts will see the peso reach 37.50 in 2008.
Military
The AFP (Armed forces of the Philippines) has strengthen its cooperation with the US army to fight alleged terrorist groups linked to Al qaeda.
International
In terms of Global Warming our country is helping in our own little ways. After the Bali summit the government passed the Billion Tree Act that aims to plant 1B trees a year.
The Philippine Govt requests to reduce the target to 50% for developing nations
except for the most polluters like China and India which are some of the major CO2 emissioners in the World, we also request the US to take more action against this global problem

To increase development funds, the Chinese Government has withdrawn further loans to other countries. This sudden burst in funds (although seemingly poor for the long run, the Chinese Government believes that in the future little will be paid before the next large war) has increased the value of the Yuan by 30% and after two months dropped the value of the US dollar by almost half once debts were starting to be claimed.
Military
The Chinese Military is at an all time high due to the slight increased US threat, if negligible the threat is still there due to the US sudden income drop. The Chinese have also invested in three 80,000tonne Aircraft Carriers for future plans of the Blue Water Navy.
International
The Chinese Government has taken this opportunity to laugh and count the increasingly large wad of cash building up in it's pockets, right in the UN. It again laughs due to the fact that we're far from a consumerist nation and this money is bound to just keep growing.
In response to the Global Warming Threat the Chinese Government decided on selling a large portion of it's higher consumption vehicles to the highest bidder. Filters are to be mandated for high output factories and CO2 filters are to be installed on the edge of cities. At least one per 200,000 population.

Greece's News:
International: Greece's Prime Minister, Konstandinos Karamanlis has agreed to sign Great Britain's proposal to reduce emissions of CO2, CO, NOx, and suspended particulates to 80% or lower or its current values by the year 2015. Greece will also invest at least 500 million Euros to create a Climate Change Fund, that will assist countries who have financial difficulties applying the strict regulations. Additionally, Greece stands at a neutral stance to all wars, incidents, and terrorism, unless one of the above takes place in Greece.
Civil: Karamanlis has issued an edict to all schools in Greece to immediatly form a environmental class that will be held for 30 minutes everyday of the work week. Karamanlis also stated that an additional 3.3 billion euros will be spent on creating more mass transit operations, improving air pollution, expanding forests and recently burned forests, creating fines to apprehend violaters of laws that will be issued later on to insure citizens of not meeting standards, putting a cap on car emissions, by not allowing cars with less than 35 miles per gallon (minus tourists who enter the country), funding research for alternate fuels, increasing pressure for airlines flying to Greece to reduce emissions and noise, and finally, to clean the once pristine Aegean and Ionian Sea.
Military: Dora Bakoyannis, director of foreign affairs has also taken position as general advisor of the Greek Army. Bakoyannis stated that Greece will continue its policy of a draft, but there will be more exemptions, such as going to University or playing for a sports team. However, the pay for while being drafted, has risen from its previous 30,000 Euros a year to 45,000 Euros a year. Yanni Theotokoglou (Director of the Greek Airforce), mentioned an order for 15 Boeing B767-400 Tankers and 12 "specially" modified Boeing B767-400 water tankers as well as 3 B747-400's for the government.

As I see it now Australia is at war with NZ, and NZ, Australia and North Korea attac Great Britain. Singapore invites all 4 countries for a big peace conference.
Singapore's suggestions:
-all parties agree to a ceasefire
-the North Koreans get paid $20 mio. by their former foe and friends as development aid
-the UK government gets back to London and buys a Concorde as their presidential aircraft
-the Kiwis and the Aussis go have a party
-all the nuclear warheads get stored at S'pore to prevent further aggression
-all the bomber aircraft go to S'pore as well
The nations may however keep their fighterjets to protect themselves.

New Zealand has nothing to do with Nuclear anything. Hell both Russia and USA attempted to bring Nuclear Subs in at varying times which we had a good riot about.

Two Russian nationals were arrested by London police today after having fired 27 rounds of live ammunition in a mall 10 kilometres west of the London city centre. The Philippines Grants The UK to use Manila Bay to harbor their carriers and battleships, and will set up a ban against north korea for starting another useless war.The Philippines would like to remind that the UN was established to promote and maintain world peace, and not to start Wars.We're sure that the war in Oceania will end soon, and for the mean time The Govt calls all it's nationals in the region to head home. The Philippine Embassy at Canberra and Wellington will be closed starting next week and will re open as soon as possible.

For the Philippines ROC entrance to the UN is fine, but fears repression by the Chinese Govt, in fact we just received a warning by the Chinese PM.

Chinas russian neighbours puts in it's veto against adding ROC to the UN General Assembly.
The future of ROC has not yet been decided, and we consider it to be an issue that first should be solved with talks between the 2 parties. If any hostilities arise in the region Russia will not sit quietly. Russia also declare that we see no problems in having ROC as a free state within Chinas borders, with it's own leadership but governed by China.

Russia has today sent an envoy to North Korea to show it's disgust with recent development. If Kim Il Jips continues to show such blatant disregard to other countries we see no other solution than removing all nucleus material we have provided to North Korea, and to stop all planned deliveries of uranium and oil/gas/coal and steel. The material was supposed to ease the pains of the North Korean people through providing work, healthier living conditions and the introduction of new technology. Even if the nukes were non armed and non loaded it was in excusable and we demand that Kim Il Jips apologizes to the people of Great Britain.

ok so, im germany:
civil: in order to participate in the uk's programme to cut back on global warming, the cancellor, angela merkel, closed down all the airoports in the country yesterday. this lead to overcrouded trains and highways and some serious accidents. people where also rioting in the streets, cos its just the start of the holiday season and many had to cancel this. today the minister for transport said it was a bad move and the airports will be reopened from tomorow.
as a result of the whole dilemma, the german parliament decided to shoot merkel onto mars and hold another election, the riots turned then into parties celebrating this move.
military: the government announced a major cutback in armed forces due to the lack of reason for their existence. the defence-ministry has not yet made any statement on this. the money saved will be donated to developing countries.
international: the german government calls upon new zealanand, australia and korea to stop the war on uk, cos its too close to germany and in anyway is a big waste of resources, we should better justget on and use the money saved on much more useful things, like ending poverty. if nz government would agree, the cancellor announced, germany would help work out a plan to convert all the remaining nukes into powerstations for africa.

The Singaporean government questions why the rest of the German government wasn't shot to the Mars as well. It is also worried that the German government wants to export nuclear power into unstable countries.

international: the rest of the government didnt fit in the rocket, there are only 3 seats, which are reserved for merkel, mehdorn (the chairman of dbag (railway)) and schell (chairman of gdl, a trade union currently in dispute with the rail, the reason for many services to be cancelled). but the parliament is trying to organize a bigger rocket, maybe to fly to jupiter or so.
the government means to defunct the warheads and use them for civilian purposes, cloely guarded by a consortium of international diplomats and experts. all facilities are to be guarded by armed forces to prevent technology from being stolen. germany is calling upon the international community on this, since its own armed forces arent great enaugh any more since the cutback. if singapore brings up a better, more useful idea for reusing the warheads, germany does oblige to consider this.
millitary: germanys armed forces are now finally reduced to some frigates for fishery control, some fighters and tanks for possible (unlikely) defence and use in the un-forces. the airforce also offers to trade its eurofighter for c-17s with anybody who wants. these will be used for bringing food to developing countries.

Singapore has already submitted the proposal that the warheads should remain in a country without launchable rockets = Singapore. It also shows a strong interest in Germany's Eurofighters to protect itself against crazy warlords from Down Under and the DRPK.

International: The Philippines is releasing a top secret report. Eurofighters dont exist anymore because some Arabian countries have them. The Philippine secretary of foreign affairs submits a protest against the German Govt. disrupting An official visit of the Philippine President to Europe. The Plane was supposed to land at Frankfurt,the flight was then redirected to Rome, where the President had met the Pope Joseph Ratzinger, Followed by an official meeting with the Head of the State Giorgio Napolitano and Prime minister Romano Prodi. civil: after sending merkel to the mars, germany has a new cancellor: Harald Schmidt. this is a unique experiment to explore if comedians would be better suited to ruling a country than politicians.
schmidt put forth his goals for the rest of the term later this evening:
- finding a way to meet the 80% cutback of co2 emissions without risking riots again
- completing the cutback of the armed forces and rename them:german distress tranport group (g.d.t.g.)
- ending that stupid war australia vs. uk
- ending poverty in africa
- finding a larger rocket for the rest of the german government and sell them a one-way ticket to jupiter
- lowering the salaries for highranking managers and politicians and then lower taxes.
international:germany would support singapore with the proposal, if singapore agrees to do something useful with them (not war) and to end poverty somewhere. if singapore has something to offer , the ministry of defense would trade 160 of its eurofighters, its 65 phantoms and its 187 tornados. germany would be interested in all kinds of transport aircraft.
the german government lets the phillipines know its very sory for the disruption and will propose to refund the flight ticket with up to 500€ and also sends a present containing a ticket from paris to frankfurt, a promotional pencil and a promotional sharpener for the pencil.

Singapore signs a treaty that it won't buy any missiles suitable of carrying the missile heads. It offers Singapore Airlines last few 747-400s in exchange for the fighters. It agrees on trying to end poverty in Indonesia and is interested in buying Harald Schmidt's Nazometer :P

In other NZ news, Prime Minister Doug has ordered more troops to go to the Cook Islands. This has been made becasue the Fiji army has taken over the government again. Doug said in a press release. "We are worried that Fiji may enter Nz waters in the Cook Islands, that is why the expansion in troop numbers has gone up in the Cook Island's. This is to protect the people of NZ in the Cook's." As seen in this picture, you can see the troops position in the Cook Island's.

germany would rather take the a380 instead of the 747.

Today troops on the cook Island saw a Royal Fiji Helicopter. The hel. entered Cook airspace. Nz is thinking this may be a sine of something. additional troops have been sent to the Cooks. We are ready if something does happen.
