Mmh, somehow we had a freak winter over Christmas (if you went 80km northward to Hannover there was no snow, or so I was told).

They didn't manage to get the water out of the meadows down in the valley early enough so we had a huge icehockey field. But the weather changed and yesterday when I got into my car at 1 am the windshield wasn't even frozen...

Now we have that autumn-like German weather again and I want to go down under :?

Depends.....  I've been there when its been mid-50's and I've been there when its -10.

National Weather Service says low of 21, with a chance of flurries.   But it is Illinois, so if you don't like the weather wait an hour the weather might change.

Its a whopping 27°F with a wind chill of 17°F here in my little Indiana town.  Its already been worse then this with wind chills below 0.  Last year I remember a spell where for a week the wind chills were pushing -30°F   But its northern Indiana.  The weather stations should just give up as it will change 5 minutes after the forecast.  We can have a 65°F day and wake up to 3 foot of snow the next morning    It happened in 98 :?

Just find it funny though, I have a good friend "ex-feoncie" who is in Taiwan.  We met while she was here as an exchange student.  Shes complaining its getting cold over there....the weather says days are in the high 50s to high 60s   She said this on a day where our high here was about 10°F and the wind chills were well below 0

I remember spending 2.5 weeks over there in August 2006 when the day time heat indexes were pushing 120°F.  But my last few days we took a trip into the mountains, one hotel was up in the clouds where temps were maybe 50°F...her and her family were freezing I was up there in a t-shirt and shorts enjoying it    Some people just don't know what real cold is :?

It hit -4c this morning here. As usual the Mayo County Council boys decided that gritting the roads last night would be a bad idea, now we have snow on top of ice...

Anyway, for the first time in about 2 years we have snow, and popper stuff at that!  :D

Its boring 5c here, full cloud cover and with the most evil wind ever. We haven't had snow down here in 3 years and it has been 5 years since I last went sledging as that was the last time there was enough snow.

When everyone else gets snow, it just pours with rain. The South West of England is like the Pacific Northwest of America. It rains more here than in Western Ireland, take that mayo-man!

Here in Oslo its -2/3 C and a beautiful layer of snow and tommorow Oslo will get 15 to 20 centimeters with snow while towns in the south of Norway will get amazing 70 centimeters snow!

i live in minnesota, so if you don't like snow, cold, or anything else that has to do with winter, you have no chance of surviving

therefore, i like snow, cold, and everyhing that has to do with winter. 8)
