Isn't it the coolest store ever!  Where is your IKEA store at?  Mine is in Frisco, Texas USA!

If I remember correct...

The basement at the Park Lane Hotel (or is it the building next to it?)
Causeway Bay
Hong Kong.

Lots of cool stuff there, although I rarely actually shop!

My wife and oldest daughter are OBSESSED with that place.......

(Schamburg,IL)  I usually truck over to the University of Phoenix parking deck next door, and see if I can see anything at O'Hare though.

The spotting works when there is good weather, and if I remember either the long lens for the Pentax or a Scope.....

for those of you who live outside the USA, the Mall of America is about the most famous thing in Minnesota, it is the second largest mall in the world and the largest in the US.

IKEA is actually right across the street from Woodfield Mall, and 53/290.  ORD is 10 to 15 miles or so to the South East.

Funny to see what people at the AM forums are talking about.

I have three IKEA shops in the closer surroundings - all three of them within a 30-45 minute drive (two in Hanover and one in Brunswick, Germany). Have visited all of them many times this years. Guess why? Right, I am married

In Seattle Metro area their are 4-5 Ikeas.....

I like the shop, but I remember when alot of time when we were supposed to be their for 30 minutes and it turned into 4 hours..... :x

But they always have good food/drinks and the names of the products are sometimes amusing.

To all those in the US, you all suck. Denver needs an IKEA!  :x I've been to the ones in Schaumburg and Houston, as well as a few in Sweden. One opened recently in my wife's hometown, so I'm sure I'll be going there a few times while I'm here.

On another random note, Ingvar Kamprad has a very modest summer house a few kilometres from my in-law's summer house. The last summer I was here (2006), he spent a few weeks roaming the forests picking blueberries.

Lidl does not really compete with IKEA. Lidl is mainly a supermarket while IKEA is a furniture market plus everything you need for decoration (is that an english word? ) and your kitchen (knives, forks, dishes, etc.). They also sell swedish food in a very small corner. Here in Germany they also have a restaurant where it is pretty cheap to eat. But I guess they keep there store looking almost the same in all countries.

The ones in Sweden are pretty big, but nothing like the one in Schaumburg (which I believe is one of the largest in the world).

IKEA is considered a very fancy store worldwide, except in Sweden where it has been seen a bit cheap to shop at. I have always liked IKEA and their affordable designer furniture. They have also been accused (rightfully I think) of stealing designs, but now it's often the other way around.
IKEA's in Sweden are rather big, but nothing compared to abroad, on the other hand there are only 9 million of us and we have tons of IKEA's.
I think I read somewhere that IKEA's central warehouse in Almhult Sweden is one of the largesyt in the world, and Ingvar Kamprad was actually richer than Bill Gates 3 years ago, not bad for a small boy with no education...

And this cool photo was on the front page of a magazine last month:
