Title: Alliance routes

Can someone explain what the limit of 20 alliance routes mean? Does it mean:
1. 20 routes beginning from EACH alliance base? 2. 20 routes beginning from alliance bases in total? 3. 20 routes beginning from alliance bases that are flown by other members of the alliance? 4. something completly different?

20 routes from each base, without counting the member(s) who base(s) there. The 20 is a total of all other members.

Ah I joined a big alliance thinking it would put me at an advantage. Basically it's a bad idea to join big alliances, especially if you have bases that have yet to be added. The rest will quickly create routes conflicting with you and you still won't be able to create routes from other's bases.

when i joined an open alliance, most of the 20 alliance slots were taken up. when i joined a restricted membership, almost all of them were open (except for Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, where its 18 and 15) :D

I've just created my own, just the two of us so far but it gets me into Europe as I'm in the Middle East with two bases and she's in Europe. The recent resets acquired us a tonne of gates too in the major airports.
