On some of the airports, it won't let me select the number of gates to rent (i.e. Lubbock International Airport)
I just went to rent gates, countries, United States, Lubbock, Texas, and I clicked rent. The map showed up, along with the details of that airport, and below that was an ad, and I saw no box with the rent gates option.
However, I went to Dodge City Regional Airport, selected Rent Gates, and the box WAS there.
My airline is Go! Air (GOA)

Make sure there are gates available for renting, gates can run out!

yes, for example, I am waiting for a gate at Austin, if there were an unlimited amount of gates, anyone could fly anywhere, think about it, would an unlimited amount of gates be realistic?

Wrong concept. They have gates, just that all are taken (ie. no free gates). If any of them are freed up, they would be returned to the market for you to rent.

but most people eventually return some. (also if you wait long enough you can build a terminal!)
