Unfortunately due to a very strong leasing market there are none available at the moment but hopefully there will be soon!

is the leasing cost per game day or per game month?

Per month.

If it was per day, we'd ALL be in trouble

I have a quick question about leasing as well.

When I first started the game I leased aircraft - obviously - so I could earn some revenue before plopping down the money to purchase a plane outright.  I now have 2 planes that the lease is about to expire on (1 and 9 days), and I would like to continue leasing as I'd like more money in the bank before I start buying.

My question is, is there a way to extend a lease period?  Or if I have to have the aircraft returned and then re-lease, is there a way to transfer the current route over to the new plane?  I just would like to avoid having to re-do all of my routes associated with those planes when the lease comes up.  Pain in the butt to begin with, but I also don't want to pay those marketing costs again.

Thanks for your help!

Ummm... because if, say, Convair 240s cost 11 million euros per month to lease, it would be utterly impossible to make a profit?

Sure you would be affected. The market isn't a vacuum.

If leasing were made that much more expensive, it would be a completely non-viable option, meaning airlines would seek to buy many more aircraft outright. That increasing demand and unchanged supply would result in a tighter and hence more expensive market for purchased aircraft.

Also, those airlines which have purchased many aircraft and are leasing out some of them, would find that income stream completely dried up.

No way to extend a lease at the moment. The aircrafts concerned will be returned to their owners automatically when the leases are up regardless.

Hot swap of routes are being worked on, but is not yet available.

So, you probably have to re-do your routes. Sorry for the inconveniences, but that is life... -sigh-

And I'm just explaining why increased lease rates would affect everyone in the game, not just those who lease in aircraft :)

If Convairs were 11 million per month there'd just be nobody leasing, so I'd be having a field day

Actually I agree with the everyone would be in trouble unless the Brokers sold new aircraft extremely cheaply(5% of cost) but if there's a big demand that's a big "not bloody likely". I say that because you'd have to make enough to buy new aircraft with your little DC-3, which includes paying rent. First person to break the 1023Nm range would have a field day though.
