Title: Half-flights quantity
Post by: Ariadna on November 01, 2007, 07:33:57 am
Manual sections is not reachable now. I remember (sorry if I am wrong), that not more than 2 0.5 frequency flights were allowed for each plane, which is logical. Meanwhile most companies, especially most successful, have illimited quantity of such halfflights. Is it allowed? or better to ask, is it allowed for all?

regarding route frequencies:

what is not allowed is the following: More then 2 .5 flights per city pair (not per plane, per city pair).

What is allowed: Just about everything else regarding .5s and other frequencies.

Thank you.

Though of course a real plane physically can have only two 0.5 flights: in the end of the day (returning back after midnight) and in the beginning of the day (return from previous flight). Otherwise the plane MUST take time to return to the base and thus make a complete flight.

nope.

if we assume all capital letters are airports that are focus cities, all routes are one-ways, all lowercase are non-focus city airports.

A-b-C-d-A-g-C-x is valid.

So we can have more than one 0.5 frequency per plane as long as each 0.5 route goes to another city? For example, one route would be Osaka-Moscow, the other Osaka-Hong Kong. The route would go SVO-KIX in the morning, KIX-HKG in the evening, HKG-KIX the next morning, and KIX-SVO the next evening, right?

That is correct as of this moment.
