Title: Leasing gone terribly awry!
Post by: IonWorks on October 24, 2007, 10:24:39 pm
(1) I am AirlineID: 6654
(2) I leased aircraft #6620, #6621, and #5541 from a broker for a term of 121 months
(3) The game offered the equipment to me at the negotiated price, X
Bug#1 (4) After completing the brokering, the INFO window for each aircraft showed a monthly leasing cost of X*2
Bug#2 (5) Then much to my surprise, the game sent me three messages indicating aircraft #6620's lease had expired, and was returned to the broker. 5 routes serviced by #6620 were shut down.

I was the airline that leased out the aircraft, and it's happened to 7 planes of mine.

will definitely look into it. very shortly. first, (to be honest) south park. give me 30 minutes to relax a moment. it's been a long day.
1. 750k refunded for bogus duplicate leases 2. I believe i've prevented this from happening again, no garauntees that it is either 100% foolproof (as i suspect there's some buggy ones from bankruptcy/deleted users), nor that it is working properly. it looks like it's not throwing any parse errors/etc. but yes. that's no garauntees it works properly at the moment... Anyways. I'm heading to bed. it's late. if lease ac is busted i'll fix it in around 12 hours when i awaken and will have a free moment. (awaken is more like 7. free moment is just... later).

what i see says it's listed to user id 3386 at 300,000. that will stop it from being listed again. i just need to know if it's properly listed or not.

I think maybe the hourly script freed it from whatever it was stuck on. Yesterday, it was "In Service" with 24 hours, and I couldn't lease it out. This morning, obviously, I am able to lease it out. Strange.

3386 had two CBY-3's at 500k/mo.
6647 had two Aircruisers at 100k/mo.
I will try to get aircraft ID's from them.

i believed a couple planes i've leased out for 12, 18, and 25 months had the problem of the expired leases as soon as i leased it out. this is unfair to the airline leasing. i dont remember id's or anything so don't ask that. i was just wanting to use my example to state that i hope it's fixed soon.

What i've done so far (which i have not checked fully for preexisting leases with this problem): I have put in a check to see if for some reason there is already an active or open lease for any given plane. If there is, it stops you from leasing the plane out. Prior, there was no such check... so basically you could list the same plane 12 times and wind up raking in the dough (intentionally or not). NOW it stops you from doing that devious act (intentional or not).
If anyone has a plane which is being refused, and is in use status or some other anomaly, PM me the aircraft id number and your user id. my network irrationally marks some things as read, so the thread may not be the fastest way to get me to look into it. Hopefully, any future problems are simply leftover from this initial bug/design short sight.

Plane IDs 12459 5751
Both are "In Service", have 24 hours remaining, and I cannot lease them out.

I am pouring through the existing lease records at the moment to pluck out duplicates.... and leasing gone horribly awry is a terrible truth to this task.
-_- grar. so far around 50 airlines need compensation (and will recieve a majority of it)...
just leave me pm's/messages about any aircraft unable to be leased out. i'll look into it when done. mayhap this is saving me a lot of work having it broken at the moment.
174 airlines total need compensation -gets to it... oh the joy-
DONE on the refunds. now to sort out the rest of the aftermath.

... they're in service? according to the db they're being leased out.
there. removed the leases... hopefully i didn't accidently strip out any pfl aircraft. oh well. -_- it's been a long day.

Gah. I give up. I think you clearing out duplicates is fixing my issues.

I've been leasing out planes for 121 months.
Plane 7110 was offered not too long ago, and it says only 10 months are left.

where there were duplicates, i left what appeared most favorable to the lessee in most cases.
hmm. this does not appear to be the case however. have the lessee message me in game if they would like the term manually extended to 100 months. maybe you typod and just typed 12.

I have got the same problem. A large number of my leases went skyrocketed above the agreed price and were terminated prematurely. Many times it went to 4 times to more than 6 times the agreed price, and 999months leases were terminated immediately. This problem seems serious.. Ingame ID 4744

-checks the last 500 or so leases, no doubles-
4744. at the time i went through and found all the duplicates on active or untaken leases you had approximately 200k in excess on active leases. i refunded you that at the time (actually. i refunded a lot of people the active amounts of excess).
It appears the problem is fixed... but i'll keep checking in periodically to ensure that it is. 4744 i'll look through your lease log, see what i can do but i could at the time of clearing dupes only confirm any duplicate active or pending leases.
EDIT: Sufficient evidence in the db to award you 3,000,000. sorry again.

Airline ID 3416
Aircraft ID 5069
*Sorry, This aircraft appears to have been listed or is out on an active lease.*
I believe this aircraft was automatically returned after the previous lease contract. It is listed In Service with 24 hours on my fleet page.
