why are there airlines based in the Middle East and flying out of Europe ??? :shock:

That seems like a great plan...... until he maxes out the maximum all allowed flights from the alliance bases. I'm sure the other alliance members would be quite happy about that too. Which leads me to my question, what happens when a member leaves an alliance? Would that end up making the other members lose their flights from that location?

yep. Europe is easy money because there are many airports nearby. They also have a lot of passengers.although there is a lot of competition. In his press release he said that he kept european routes coz they were the most profitable.

That's true. Unless you got like 20 competitors into every airport bigger than 1 mio inside the 1000 mile circle around your airport.
