Title: CENTRALIZED BUG DEPOSITORY [1950s, big buggy reset report]
Post by: Air Elbonia on October 11, 2007, 08:04:08 pm
Stephen and I have decided we shall reset again (sorry) within 24 hours after all the known major bugs are found.  PLEASE use this thread to deposit any bug information you can find.  It's getting very hard to track all the repeat threads.

So far:

Create focus city (line 58): I think has been fixed.

Gates: gates.php has been synced up to reality, the remaining pages will be checked and synced up shortly (i hope).

Rankings: Not touched yet, but the continents don't sync up. this will be straightened out.

Create route: Not charging market research has been fixed.

Aircraft's excess hours (>24 hours, or over otherwise "normal" hours).  any detail you can provide would be helpful.

Any new bugs? share them, immediately please.

Dex Brokerage, Orange Air, Hampo and SkyLite are brokers, so they may have excess planes from scrappages. i'll leave them to report any issues with aircraft they have themselves.

That's what my aircraft page says now. The Houer Value changes from time to time: Values I got ranged from 5-38.

I believe i found and fixed the hours issue.

the issue was (and has been fixed) as far as i know, that edit route incorrectly restored hours to aircraft.  if you had weird hours and never edited a route tell me. please.

the gates issues seem to all have been resolved with the update i made.  I need to double check the admin continent issues, and am curious how someone got 2 fc's in two different continents, but i cannot easily replicate it. so. we'll see.

Could only find 2 small ones:

1.  Before choosing your 1st hub, View Gates pukes some sql.  I know I shouldn't View gates before I have any, but that's what I mistakenly clicked.

2.  Have to click South America for North America gates in the continent list in Rent Gates.

My DC3's hours were fixed, but have seemed to have gone back to the standard 24 hours, Even though it has flights on it.
Thats all I've found so far.
My airline is Sunway Airlines ID648

My aircraft now has -6 hours, meaning it was on a 30h day :)
So I thought I'd change some 1 frequency routes to 0,5 to decrease the excess time.
But when I choose view aircraft, and then view route, and then choose edit route it says:

"You either selected no aircraft, or selected an invalid aircraft. Please go back and try again."

Same thing with View route->edit
And yes, I know there will be a reset, I'm just testing stuff. At Uni my fellow students usually gave me their projects, no one had the skill of crashing progs like I did :D

I'm getting the same thing, my DC-3 is at -14 hours, and I can't change anything so it can make sense.

can't edit existing routes anymore, if you are undergoing debuggging, please shut down for your own test before re-start, not waste too much on time, thank you

uneditable aircraft require route closures to correct the hours, edit will not be their friend.

Sorry, this was a very unintentional debugging period, we tried a lot of the stuff out on the test server (but i suppose, we missed some things it seems).

to elb: i have no intention to blame, and appreciate your efforts on that , really testing is not easy especially for unintentional behaviours

The bug flurry of surprises appears to have gone down, and all known bugs from that flurry appear to be fixed... so this thread is being locked.  Resume normal bug thread making.

Thank you all for your patience.
